What is lawn scarifying?
Scarifying is a process that removes dead leaves, thatch, and moss to bring the lawn back to life!
All lawns will gather a great deal of thatch during the year - fallen leaves, twigs grass cuttings, and so on.
Scarifiers are used genuinely in the autumn but can also be used in the spring to remove this thatch by firmly digging into the turf to drag out this layer of debris.
The main reason we scarify is to remove thatch so that the roots of the grass can access more nutrients, water, and sunlight.
Scarification is one of the most important tasks your lawn can receive which in turn will help the lawn to improve its overall quality and also increase the effectiveness of future lawn fertiliser treatments.
