Over the past seven years The Turf Smurf has transformed from a small lawn mowing service into a thriving lawn treatment programme business, now serving over 300+ local clients in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding areas.
We are qualified to apply long-lasting fertilisers and weed control products that aren't available to amateur gardeners. We are dedicated to being an affordable, service-oriented, and reliable business that exceeds customer satisfaction.
(Please note that we no longer offer lawn mowing as a service)

The Turf Smurf operates throughout Brighton and Hove, including Portslade, Southwick, and Shoreham-by-Sea. Our service also extends to Steyning and Henfield.
Ben: My Story
Since leaving school, I worked at a local plant nursery for 5 years, where I developed comprehensive plant knowledge. I gained experience in quality control abroad, selecting stock, and had an intensive introduction to plant propagation and disease control. I then worked as a sub-contractor for a gardening business in Ashington, West Sussex, responsible for lawn care for their existing customer base.
Over the three years I was there, I developed additional lawn care clientele. At the age of 24, I decided to set up my own business, focusing on my passion and interest in lawn care! I pursued studies at Plumpton College, gaining the necessary qualifications to start The Turf Smurf.
Fully Certified
I am PA1 / PA6 qualified in the safe use of pesticides and have received further training from an industry-leading expert. As an active member of the UK Lawn Care Association, I continue to enhance my skills and expertise with additional training and certification.
